OpusClip suits creators who want a dedicated clipping tool, with brand templates, a social scheduler and exports to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve on its Pro plan. Veri suits creators who want clips made beside help with ideas, scripts, thumbnails and posts, starting from the caption looks and layouts they saved.

Veri is a Creator Co-Pilot powered by a model you own. Both products turn longer videos into shorter clips. If you want more clips from the videos you have made without another evening spent fixing captions and moving your face back into the picture, the choice comes down to the help you need now and what you want to keep for the next video.

How do you keep your own caption look and layout?

In Veri, you save caption looks and layouts in Clips, and OpusClip saves fonts, colors and logos in brand templates. Veri can start from a caption look observed in your own video when that reference is available, and a layout you choose as a default can apply to matching future clips. You can edit the result, try a different look and save what you like. Saved feedback can also guide later clip requests, with a way to see which notes were used.

You can inspect and change those preferences as you go. A favorite look gives the next video a starting point without forcing every video to look identical.

OpusClip’s brand templates save fonts, colors, logos and other settings for reuse, and you can set a default template for new projects. Its setup guide explains how to save one. Veri connects your look to your own channel, writing, thumbnails and saved preferences.

Find a moment you would actually post.

Bring your own video into Veri and explain what you want to find. You might ask for a tip that makes sense on its own, a funny moment with enough setup, or the explanation you want a new viewer to hear first.

Watch the suggestions, then keep the ones that fit. You can trim the footage, change the order of the parts, correct caption words and adjust the framing. You can also start an empty clip and choose the footage yourself. Our guide to turning long videos into clips in your style walks through that process.

OpusClip’s learning center covers prompt-based clipping with ClipAnything, text and timeline editing, manual reframing, subject tracking and layout changes, so it offers more than automatic clip suggestions. Compare the tools using footage you know, including the correction you usually have to make after the first result.

For example, if a clip cuts the explanation before the exception, put that sentence back. If the important detail sits beside your face, check that both remain visible. The result should still say what you meant in the full video.

How do OpusClip and Veri compare after the first clip?

Both let you fix the cut, the captions and the framing. They differ in what they remember for next time and in what else they help you make.

Your video can become more than a batch of clips.

A short video may introduce an idea, while a post explains why you made it. Our one-video, multiple-posts guide walks through that process. In Veri, you can discuss the open clip in chat and ask for the caption that goes with it. You can also go back to the longer video’s script, title or thumbnail when you want to make a follow-up.

Thumbnails can be revised in the same conversational way: ask to make the subject larger, remove the text, or change the background. Layers provides individual parts to adjust when you want more direct control over an image.

If you do the writing, thumbnails and clipping yourself, you can keep the caption look you like, the writing preferences you saved and the images you want to use again. That leaves more time for ideas and filming.

Does OpusClip or Veri train AI on your videos?

OpusClip’s data-training help page says it may use data from individual, non-enterprise accounts to improve its AI models, with personally identifiable information removed. It says enterprise customer data is not used for model training, with usage governed by contract.

Veri does not train a shared model on your content, and that applies to every account, not only enterprise ones. Building your own personal model is a separate opt-in choice, explained in our Privacy policy. You can get editing help and keep your own styles without opting into that training.

The Your Model page shows how saved choices carry into your next clip.
