Clips turns a video you own into shorter videos. You choose the footage, framing and captions, and you can save the looks and layouts you want to use again.

Start a clip.

  1. Open Clips to bring in a video you own, or use Make clips on a supported item in Library or Chat.
  2. Follow the upload prompts if the original file is needed.
  3. Describe the moments you want and the length you have in mind.
  4. Review the suggested clips, or create an empty clip to choose the material yourself.

Make the edit.

  1. Use Trim and the transcript to choose the footage and its order. Caption-word corrections change the on-screen words separately from footage edits. Use Undo if a change removes something you wanted to keep.
  2. Open Layout to review the framing and choose vertical, horizontal, or square output. Inspect each shot and adjust the layout where needed. Save a layout to reuse it, and choose whether to make it the default for matching future clips.
  3. Open Captions to correct words and adjust the available style controls. Preview the look on your clip and save it if you want to use it again.

Continue with your own preferences.

Saved feedback can guide later clip requests. Review the saved notes shown for a request, or choose to ignore saved notes for that video. Your saved looks and layouts remain available for you to select and change. Keep your preferences explains how to review and correct what Veri has saved.

Use Chat to discuss the open clip or ask for a post caption. Review the selected clip and copy together before using them.

Save and export.

  1. Check the save status before exporting.
  2. Download the finished file.
  3. Watch it to check the cut, framing, captions, and sound.

Exporting does not publish the clip to a connected account.
