Sign In and OAuth
This guide walks you through creating your Veri account, connecting your Google/YouTube account, and completing the onboarding flow.
Creating Your Account
- Go to the Veri homepage.
- Click Sign Up or any of the call-to-action buttons on the landing page.
- Enter your email address and choose a password.
- Click Sign Up to create your account.
If you already have an account, click Log In instead and enter your email and password.
Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? on the login screen. You’ll receive a link to reset it.
The Onboarding Flow
After signing up, you’ll walk through a quick 5-step onboarding. This helps Veri personalize your experience from the start.
Step 1: Welcome
A brief intro to Veri. Just click to continue.
Step 2: Profile Setup
Tell Veri about yourself:
- Creator type — Pick the category that best describes your content (Lifestyle, Gaming, Technology, Fitness, Beauty, Food & Cooking, Travel, Business, Music, Education, Entertainment, or Sports).
- Content format — Choose what you primarily create: Long-form, Short-form, Both, or Audio/Podcast.
- What you want help with — Select up to 6 areas: Understand analytics, Get content ideas, Grow audience faster, Save time on decisions, Improve content, or Stay consistent.
- How you heard about us (optional) — Twitter/X, YouTube, TikTok, Friend, Google search, Newsletter, or Other.
Step 3: Country
Select your country from the list. This helps Veri tailor recommendations to your region.
Step 4: Connect Your Platforms
This is where you connect your YouTube and/or TikTok accounts. When you click to connect a platform, a popup window will open for the OAuth sign-in flow (see below). Once complete, the popup closes and your account is linked.
If you don’t use YouTube or TikTok yet, you can skip this step and connect later from Settings.
Step 5: Other Platforms
If you use a platform other than YouTube or TikTok, you can let us know here. You’ll earn 50 Veri Points (VP) for sharing this info.
Connecting Your Google/YouTube Account (OAuth)
When you connect YouTube during onboarding (or later from Settings), here’s what happens:
- A popup window opens asking you to sign in with your Google account.
- Google will ask you to grant Veri permission to access your YouTube channel data (things like video stats, analytics, and channel info).
- Click Allow to grant access.
- The popup closes automatically and you’re back in Veri with your channel connected.
Veri only reads your channel data — it cannot upload videos, delete content, or make changes to your YouTube account.
Logging Back In
After you’ve created your account, just go to the Veri homepage and click Log In. Enter your email and password, and you’ll be taken straight to Veri.
Troubleshooting
The OAuth popup didn’t open or was blocked
- Make sure your browser allows popups for Veri. Check your browser’s popup blocker settings.
- Try again — sometimes the first attempt triggers a browser warning that you need to approve.
The popup opened but nothing happened after I authorized
- Close the popup and try connecting again from the onboarding step or from Settings > Platforms.
- Make sure you’re using a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).
I connected the wrong Google account
- You can disconnect the channel later from Settings > Platforms and reconnect with the correct account.
I want to skip connecting for now
- No problem. You can complete onboarding without connecting a platform and add your channels later from Settings.
